FES was lucky to have six guest readers join our All-School Literacy Day on March 23rd, 2018. Dr. Forrest (Assistant Superintendent), Mark Swasey (ConVal Athletic Director – pictured above), Colleen Roy (GES principal), Dr. Lewis (School Psychologist), and Jennifer Swasey (School Counselor) read to multi-aged groups of students throughout the morning. The students then worked on an activity in these groups that focused on one aspect of Literacy. Students worked on fluency, sequencing, cause and effect, and rhyming. Since this week is also Art week, Mr. Shultz used the time for students to finish their sculptures and then share and critique them within their multi-age groups. It was a fantastic day filled with learning and community building!
